K-9 SPRINTER
TROLL TRAINER
YES , another WTF MB ................Well it looks as if MB has dropped the ball with me again. As you guys know, after many hassels, I bought a new 2010 3500 and had it unfitted by Sportsmobile. So I finally fly down to Texas and drive it back here to NY. All is fine with the sprinter, but I have 2 issues. I need to get a NY state inspection and I cant get my AUX heater to operate.(a friend w/a 2009 has the same option, he could not get mine to work) I have the
V16 Rear Heating Package III
H04 Insulation for front compartment
H13 Heater - auxiliary rear
HY1 Remote control for (AUX)auxiliary heater
HZ5 Water auxiliary heater (AUX)with timer 10KW
I got this heater package specifically for the remote, and there is not 1 word about the remote in the owners manual!!! Well,I have not be able to get the remote or even the timer to work. So I go to the local MB dealer (who was 1 of the 1st MB dealers selling sprinters)I drive up to service, they write me up,I go to the waiting area.... about 40 min later the service adviser gets me and says, They CANT HELP ME............ he said they cant inspect a 3500 rated for 11000lbs! and as for the remote heater, they left a printout from the owners book on the heater on my seat!!!! OK,... I ask where do I go to get it inspected.....the reply was, "they're not sure where to get it done, as they say they never had seen 1 before!!!!!!" ....... I tell the service adviser there is nothing about the remote on the printout they gave for help on the heaters, he in turn pages the sprinter tech(shop foremen) to come out to help. At 1st, the sprinter tec said that MB does not have a remote for the heater, then I showed him the remote and the bag it came in w the part #.His reply,...."that sure looks like a MB part#".He didn't even look at my sprinter to try to figure out the timer on the steering wheel buttons..... He said, he will have the sprinter salesmen call me when he gets back(he was out of state, at a sprinter seminar) (what the 'F' do I need a salesmen for , I already bought the sprinter, I need it serviced)(remember now, this is the dealership that I originally tried to purchase my sprinter from, didnt even know the diff between a 2500/3500) ..................Anyhow,that was a week ago.........and I have heard NOTHING back for a week. So now I call back, get the shop foremen on the line, ,,,,his reply was , "didnt the salesmen call you to help? He then says , "he will call me right back, hes gonna speak to the sales guy.The foremen calls back an hr later, and he says he cant find out anything,There is no info on the disc's he has, and will get back to me on Fri (The foremen is pissed at MB for making him look stupid, but at least trying, but getting no where )...... As for help from the salesmen in Texas, who sold me the sprinter... sad to say , but he dropped the ball also!!!!!!!! I have been asking for him info on the remote since I got the sprinter delivered to Sportsmobile 4 MONTHS AGO. His reply is.He's trying now, but cant get any info either !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
