All,
Here’s a little feedback from my experience from this deal. NOTE: Any complaints I share here have not been shared with RRW. This is not a critique of their customer service. This is a representation of my initial feelings.
I used to have Method MR701 wheels in Matte Black and wanted something a little different to set my van apart. I saw this posting and decided to order 5 of the RR6-S wheels in Gunmetal with a Black lip. Upon receiving the wheels, I inspected all five of them immediately. All of the wheels have slight imperfections or trash in the powder coating. One of the wheels kind of looked like it was a blem because of the amount of imperfections. I just looked on their site and it looks like they are sold out of my wheel. So, that may actually have been the case. Three of the center caps have noticeable scratches. The center caps are held on with 3 black cap machine screws. One of those screws has a noticeable amount of black missing. The center caps do not have the emblem scrip attached, nor is there a reference to make sure you install it straight or level. It took me about 30 minutes to be comfortable with trying to make them all look perfect. I wish they would have mounted the stickers (aluminum) correctly or put a reference in the cap and on the sticker.
To add to my initial frustrations, Discount Tire scratched all five of the outer lips of the wheels when the mounted the tires. It was caused by the plastic guard on their machine. My suggestion would be to make sure they use tape or some kind of lip protection before using the mounting machine.
Now, with all that being said... I installed the wheels and tires yesterday. I LOVE the way they look on the van! Now, I need to install my TerraWagen Mondo Guards.
I’ll try to attach before and after pics.
