I have a 2016 2.l 4cylinder with 81,xxx miles. It has recently started making an audible metallic sort of sound when shifting, but only when it first gets going and it seems to go away for the most part once it warms up. I have an appointment to get the transmission fluid / torque converter flushed coming up on 4/17, but figured I would get some insight before diving into dealer world... Maybe if I am lucky I'll get a new transmission under warranty?
The best I can describe the sound is a metallic almost grinding? Its not super loud, and I am not 100% that it is even the transmission, just seems most likely given it happens on shift points and most frequently right before it warms up.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
