Here’s the start of my little weekender.

I built custom garage boxes 24” x 20” x 63” on my convertible dinette. Converts to 63” x 70.5” of sleeping space. In the left box will be house battery with a portable solar unit and a portable propane shower (ordered not installed yet). In the right box is general storage. I used felted trunk carpet for the inside of the boxes. I also laid terrazzo on the floor and added seatbelts to the box so it can haul 7 adults with the bench seat. the cushions fit flush but I jam the backrest to the bench when we’re running hence the overhang.

upcoming is the exterior, ladder and rack and basket on order as well as new rims/tires and a brush guard.

That’s a killer looking rig man! Maybe I’ll see you up at bolsa chica or river jetties one day. I have to head up that way soon for some Monkish Hazy IPA

We're building out our Sprinter now and also have plans for a dinette. I've heard that you should make the cushions slightly wider than the actual bed/dinette area so you don't have gaps in the "mattress" while you're sleeping. Do you have any advice for how much "extra" width to include in the cushion dimensions?
