Is there a way to send private messages to other forum members?

I would like to contact a local member but I can't figure out to send a private message. Any help appreciated. Thanks

Put cursor over their username and click start conversation

But if 'Start Conversation' does not appear under their avatar then they have turned 'Conversations' OFF in their control panel!

It pees me off when I see classifieds saying 'Contact by PM' then they have 'Conversations' turned off!

My gripe for the day!

So reply in the thread where they say "PM me" to inform them of their need to turn on conversations.
