2019. They aren’t available as a plug in canbus solution, but they do work as I outlined above. Had to remove the door panels and splice a wire.what year is your Sprinter. I was told that they are not available for 2019 and newer yet?
I’ve seen them on plenty of VS30’s, not sure if they use a magnet switch or not. You might try calling Agile Off Road, they sell and install AMP steps.Do we have actual confirmation of any power steps working on a 2019+ without a magnet switch?
Mines a 2020, they work greatare the amp steps available for 2019 and newer?
Do they use a magnet switch?Mines a 2020, they work great
I don't know what that is....? (I didn't build my van myself)Do they use a magnet switch?
my 2020 uses a magnet switch.Do they use a magnet switch?
That's probably true, I hadn't thought of that. Right now we're dealing with a faulty magnet switch. Yesterday, it was over bumps that the interior lights would come on and the step would deploy. The van disables cruise control when the door is "open", so this became pretty annoying. Today, it seems that the magnet switch is somehow worse. It sees "closed" only when the sliding door is almost latched. But once it's fully closed, the step deploys again. Maybe driving caused the 2-sided tape to shift slightly? I don't know. It doesn't LOOK like it's moved but who knows.I haven’t experimented - but I think a diode on each door signal wire would fix it.

I’m in the exact same boat.I just had my factory electronic running board on my 2016 Sprinter uninstalled after it failed. The associated alarms are annoying whenever I opened the door. I had to have the dealer remove it because Mercedes Benz had to remove the programming for the step from the onboard computer ($400)
I'm now looking for a fixed alternative. However I'm finding most manufactures exclude their running boards from Sprinters that have a back AC unit... UGH!
Have you contacted Amp-Research directly? I would verify with them that they have a kit for you and that it's ready to ship. If they won't sell it directly, ask who stocks the kit and order from that company. That's actually what I did, but there was a communication breakdown and I got confused and ordered the older model kit with a modification. But whatever, it still works fine.I'm watching this thread closely because I would love to put some AMP power steps on my 2021 144 4x4 Crew but I have been uncertain which AMPs to order and who to order them from.
