P0697 Help Please

I have a 2010 313 sprinter with 179000 on the clock that is just not playing ball !!

I have another thread that I started last year and did get some helpful advice from some of the wiser people on here , which I was grateful for ! Problem is my van is still sat on my drive a year later !

A lot of the codes have gone away and I’m only left with four now after having my ECU data transferred onto a new ECU as I was convinced it was ECU related which it turns out some of the codes may have been !

So I’m still stuck with four codes and limp mode and no throttle
The codes are as follows
P252B29. Oil sensor invalid signal
P012200. Throttle pedal short circuit to ground
P04091C. EGR voltage out of range
P069716. Power supply 3 for the sensors has an electrical fault or a open circuit

I’ve had enough of spending on the van but I’m hoping that throwing a pedal at it will solve the codes ! The EGR is brand new the oil sensor is brand new also all merc parts so it would seem that the pedal is the cause ??

What I’m after is does anyone know about the P0697 code ?? I’ve checked the whole loom for breaks or rubs all the earths all the relays all the fuses the “¥” cable the alternator the battery everything!! I’ve even found a diode under the floor in between the handbrake and passenger seat also replaced! I’m at a dead loss and just don’t want to spend another penny on this van !

Any help would be much appreciated

Try unplugging the throttle pedal sensor and see what codes remain. If the short is in the pedal the code should clear, if the short is in the harness (or another component) the code will remain.

Do you have the wiring diagram showing what components are on 'Power supply 3'?

Thanks Keith I will try this ! Unfortunately I’ve never been able to find a decent wiring diagram for the van I’ve seen a few on the wiki page but never been able to be sure they are for a 651 engine I don’t even know if that matters as the electrics may be the same in a few models ! Il give it a go I’m literally at the end of rope with this problem I’ve had two mechanics and an auto lekky tell me it was ECU but even after getting a clone the problems are still there !
Thanks for the advice will give it go as soon as
Cheers Keith
