How to clear if not posted?

I have had that same issue. I can clear what I wrote before I "Post Reply" but every time I come back to that thread it is there waiting for me to post reply. I think after some time it does go away but not positive about that.

Just did a test and now it goes away. Maybe it was just fixed.

I have to select "all" and delete.

Text disappears now by itself. Typed test, hit back button to go back to the main page and then back to this page and test is gone. No need to delete now. You think the moderators are playing with us?

On many browsers, typing a ctrl-R (the key combo for "reload") will wipe your "pending reply" clean.
I have no idea what an iPhone would require
