C CaptainBeefheart9 Member Aug 1, 2020 #1 I tried topping up the power steering fluid, and that hasn't helped so far. It was yellowish when I put it in, and now it's black. I did use some very old, non-ATF+4 stuff. Should I drain the try ATF+4 first

M Midwestdrifter Engineer In Residence Aug 1, 2020 #2 Any ATF should work. Top it off and turn lock to lock. Top off if needed.
jrod5150 Well-known member Aug 1, 2020 #3 Bad racks are becoming more and more common. Fluid doesn’t matter as the post above states. Almost any atf or Power steering fluid is fine
