Swap TPMS control module across years

Does anyone know if the TPMS control module can be swapped from a 2019 to a 2010 as a plug in changeout? Since my wheels are the 433 frequency and my van control is 315, I think it would be far easier and less costly to swap the module if it will work. :idunno:

Hey MIK3, did you ever figure this out? I've got a 2011 3500 without TPMS, and I'd sure love to add the factory system. I *think* I need a 315mhz system with the Mercedes 0025407545 control module, but I'm having a hell of a time figuring it out for sure. Thx

Haven’t heard of a NCV3 Sprinter that didn’t have TPMS. Try running your VIN through one of the vin-checkers which will provide your vehicles build spec. Somewhere in that information you’ll likely find the tpms or 315mhz mentioned. Sure yours could be absent but most come as standard.

Thanks. Good tip. I will. It's a Winnebago View, so it wouldn't surprise me if they went cheap on the chassis for the $130k RV. :-/

I'm not seeing it listed. Looks like a special tire config. So stupid. Ideas on where I can identify the proper TPMS Control Module for this VIN? I'd much rather source OE parts than deal with some aftermarket bolt-on system. Thank in advance for the tips. Much appreciated. Here's the listing results:

3500's where never fitted with factory TPMS as it was only a legal requirement on 2500's.

I believe a 3500 is above the max GVWR that legally requires TPMS.

Keith.
Thanks, Keith! That would explain why I'm having so much trouble figuring this out. 6 wheels ... kind of makes sense.

I have realized the wheels from a 2019 2500 use 433 MHz while I understand the 2010-2018 models use 315 MHz. I have not determined if I can simply swap modules as there is nothing out there on that. I suspect its possible that it may work, but there's a possibility if the computer receiving the data may need a different signal. I'm willing to give it a try but the new module was over $400 which is insane. I'll wait until I come across one from a wreck or when they become common on eBay for $50.
