Testing deleting a thread

Since there's another "please delete" message up, i thought i'd try it.

First, can i delete *before* closure?

(no obvious switch)

Apparently, your only chance at deleting a new thread is in the *simple* message box.
If you choose "more options" or post and come back. the "delete thread" seems to disappear.

Here's the CANCEL button for a new thread:

Interesting. Hopefully, this applies only to the Original Poster. :hide:

Correct ... and only when they're **first** typing in the message.
Once you step/click away from that initial screen, the Cancel Thread ability is lost.

Right. Not all that useful a function except during new thread creation.

"Cancel" thread is a long way from "Delete" thread.

Come to think of it, a retroactive Thread Delete capability would not be in the general interest, regardless of its origin.
