How to determine the chassis type?

I am interested in buying a product (grille conversion) and I want to make sure it fits my Sprinter's "Chassis type".

The add mentions that it fits "W 901, W 902, W903, and W 904". Wikipedia also list a "W905" for the first gen (T1N).

How can I determine the chassis type on my Sprinter?

It is a 2005, Dodge Sprinter, 3500.

Not sure about the W905, but if you post a link to the product we should be able to tell you if it will fit a North American T1N. Most likely it should be fine

That will definitely work. The Dodge has a chromed plastic strip across the front of the hood, as you know. But behind that is a round cutout in the hood that the Mercedes Emblem sits in. You can remove the strip, but repainting your hood will be necessary. Some guys have done a really nice job of cutting out the center of the strip to fit the MB style grill. I did the repaint route, but I did the whole van.

A quick note on Begel Germany. They’re a Turkish manufacturer of Mercedes replacement parts. Quality can fluctuate between products but for non essential parts they’re generally fine. I have a handful of their parts on my van, their windshield wiper arm is better than OEM in my opinion. The spray can hit the entire windscreen area of that wiper at any speed, unlike the Mercedes design.

You’re also going to need the metal surround piece for that grill. I can’t find it on that site but I bought mine from SprinterSupplier in Philadelphia. Here’s a link
You can get the grill, emblem, etc. from them as well.
I did order a part from them about a month ago and ended up canceling my order after a week of it not shipping And no communication on their end, but normally their customer service has been excellent. We’re supposed to be entering a yellow phase on June 5th here in Philly, so hopefully they’ll be back to work soon.

Visit any of the "datacard" sites, such as:
https://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Mercedes-Benz <-- datacards
https://www.datamb.com/ <-- datacards
https://www.mbdecoder.com/ <-- datacards (more up-to-date?)
Some of them will provide MB's other VIN-like number (their Vehicle ID).
It will have three characters, followed by 6 digits. The first three of those will be the 90x number.
Using mine as an example:
VIN: WDRPD14435582xxxx
Identification number: WDR9036711582xxxx
So i'm a 903.

Does the emblem come with the grille?

I am now planning to get these two:
grille: https://sprintersupplier.com/produc...ghtliner-2000-2006-oem?variant=30383880601690
bar: https://sprintersupplier.com/produc...0-2006-oem-a9018800385?variant=28451864248410

But then I also see this : https://sprintersupplier.com/produc...0-2006-9018800085?_pos=5&_sid=231bae541&_ss=r

The emblem and CDI badge are sold separately. I found that out after receiving my grill in the mail. Plus side, it gave me time to paint the trim strip while I was waiting for it to arrive. My Dodge grill was pretty beat up when I got my van and even with putting all the parts together piecemeal, I ended up spending less for the MB conversion than buying a Dodge branded grill.

The emblems are no longer available, AFAICT. I run without one, but plan on adding some kind of badge there... if I find one I like that can be fitted... maybe something like this...Screen Shot 2020-05-30 at 6.49.56 PM.png
