@grantwilson - Nice build. One question: what model of AMF Bruns seat are you using there? Is it the Smartseat Easy M1 or the XL ? And what is the color ? Nice choice!
XL! and its black.@grantwilson - Nice build. One question: what model of AMF Bruns seat are you using there? Is it the Smartseat Easy M1 or the XL ? And what is the color ? Nice choice!
I am the only certified installer in the southeastVery interested in your SmartFloor! Was just asking about it over here: https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/88977/
Question -- who did the install? They seem to work via a distributor model. And how do you like it?!
Ever had a build where you have had two first row AMF Bruns seats , XL or otherwise ? How did it work out for space? I am currently planning a build and can't decide whether to go with the Smartfloor and M1 seats (maybe XL) or just ditch the Smartfloor idea and go with OEM 1st row seating (double bench).XL! and its black.
pretty comfy
I do. We use L brackets to secure the cabinets to the floor via smartfloor and L track studs. Or mount plates and use the same studsI was checking out your Flickr stream @grantwilson - nice builds - question though: How come despite having the SmartFloor you don't use it to secure down the units and electricity and water boxes. There seemed to be different securing brackets - what's it for just the seats?

That makes sense - a really tidy approach by the looks of things.I do. We use L brackets to secure the cabinets to the floor via smartfloor and L track studs. Or mount plates and use the same studs
You can do the Xl but its tight. But you can since you can shift the seats left to right on the bases a bit.
Truthfully, havent tried them. I can't speak with any education on itThat makes sense - a really tidy approach by the looks of things.
Guess kid's will need to get the regular sized seats as opposed to the XL's in that case. How are the M1 seats in your opinion ?
So when You wanna order a roof rack?@nickelnoff we tried the M1s at the Expo in Tahoe and found them to be quite good. I took some video of the seats at https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/89326/#post-923027
We're buying 8 of the M1s for my build! Build thread at https://sprinter-source.com/forums/index.php?threads/89458/
yeah i wouldnt have any issue there!I just meant in camp, with a breeze etc. I would use this most frequently at the coast and there is always a bit of wind.
Lots of cool stuff here!
What decking material are you using on your roof rack?
Thanks for the update. I was considering the panels for a Flatline Lowpro on a mid roof transit.Roof Rack 12" Walking Panel by FreedomVanGo

You have to use the flare meant for the window as it is molded in. But the 350x500 is the size used. You cant use the included shade with it, nowhere to have it bolt to.Thanks for the update. I was considering the panels for a Flatline Lowpro on a mid roof transit.
I suppose these are "cut to length" for other applications?
Maybe consider a "kit" for the Flatline rack.
I was also wondering about the Tern Overland window in the flarespace, what size fits the flare? No modifications to the flare to fit? Can you not use the shade/screen with it because of inside clearance?
We call it Qubelok in Australia, it's a 1" x 1" x 1 1/16" wall aluminium square box with plastic joiners. What's the name of the product you used to make the base and cabinet around the water tank with?
Lonseal adhesive@grantwilson i'm also going to put Lonseal down on a SmartFloor. What adhesive did you use to bond the Lonseal to the aluminum floor?

The entire cabinet is a custom aluminum cabinet. We can build to suit!Hi @grantwilson, mind sharing what the cabinet walls around the toilet and kitchen made of?
if you go bigger than stock you have to do itLooks amazing. Fun stuff.
Did you need to do the fender flare mod for tire clearance or did the tires fit and not rub?
