Building out in Belgium

Long time lurker, but just moved to Belgium and with a plethora of Sprinters about I can't help but finally start working on one. Searched a bit about building out in europe but didn't see much.

My main concerns are finding seats for the rear (i'm part of a family of four) so I can throw 2 car seats and also finding some of the electrical side (exhaust fan, fridge, solar). The rest I can surely build out or buy at ikea. This doesn't need to be my forever van, just you know the next 3-10 year van!

thanks much

They are based....tons of parts suppliers in the UK...maybe make one trip over for supplies?
RIB Scopema for seats....

The VW crafter is the same van as the sprinter for all practical purposes so maybe check into those for build information.

Thanks much for that gouge. England should be an easy trip to gather some parts and those seats even had my wife make a comment! Hopefully this thing gets started soon!

I actually made a comment the other day about the crafter. It's a smart looking van and glad to know people are outfitting some on this side of the Atlantic. Should be very helpful moving forward.

Forgot to mention evo.
They do flat pack.
Pack furniture and have some for the “larger vans” like sprinters.
Also small parts, hardware and trim out materials.

My European geography knowledge isn’t massively excellent, so please forgive me if I’m sending you links to places that are crazy far away.....I’m making an assumption that a trip with an empty van could likely bring back most stuff needed for a van build if Belgium doesn’t have the resources.

Lots of companies In Europe cater to the self-build VW t5 transporter market, so that’s a good source of parts and ideas.

Rexkramer: I just bought a 5 seater in Belgium and brought it to Switzerland (import process was less than easy). Fun.
Loving my crew cab but wanting to replace the 2nd Row with a RIB Altair from Scopema (French company). For what it's worth, the Swiss (and maybe the Belgians) are sticklers about seating modifications. Be sure to do your research. Mine has these struts that impede my entry into the cargo area. Trying to find a work around or a EU/Swiss company that can do the modifications and install a legit bench/bed.

Nothing yet. I have a big bed in there and have been stuck in V 1.0 for a while. I need to get insulation done and then work towards bigger items
