XM4 Acoustic Package

What do the blue lines in your diagram represent?

On a European site it mentioned that the package includes infrared blocking in the windows to reduce heat gain (not sure what that had to do with acoustics?) but some commenters said that it blocked some parking pass systems like EZ Pass and as a side effect meant that those with Radar and Laser detectors had to place them in just a couple spots in the dash. One person could not get his building parking pass to work and had to buy a new hand holdable pass that he could stick out the window. So the Acoustic package may be more complex. Has anyone actually purchased it and gotten experience with how it works in the US or Canada?

This thread indicates that there is a more expensive Acoustic Comfort Package option available for Mercedes cars, that includes thicker windows.

Do you have the source of this? Can anyone else confirm the infrared blocking? I might be able to live with it for the gain of lower heat when driving in full sun, but might be a pain if I spend time visiting areas where tolls are everywhere, like illinois or florida.
