Sprintshift Problems

313cdi 903 Sprintshift.

October last year was fitted with Relay,Pump with wire harness.

A while back driving normal it jumped into limp mode.stopped and restarted no more problems.

Was parked up for two nights and would not engage gears. When it did and last few days random faults.

Press brake pedal and put in gear, N flashing,

From stop, start engine. Takes a while to find a gear, waggling the gear stick.
Sometimes gets Auto, other times 1,2,3 only.
If we do get it to go into gear, will not change up , so manually 1,2,3.. then if pop into neutral and back in drive, can get it to change up the gearbox.

Just stopped working fine in Auto. Left engine running. Select gears and back to first gear, no Auto.

Ign on only, can select forward and reverse and can hear selector working. But once started faults as above start.


Have disconnected loom from gearbox ecu . Going to check under on gearbox connectors ect.




Anything else we can look at or check.


No fault codes showing on obd2.
 
Does it have normal engine power? If its in limp mode, there very slow and wont change up automatically.

The problem may be in the gearshift itself, there an electric switch assembly. Other thing to check is the brake switch.

No engine power loss.If it goes into manual, we get three speeds. While travelling can flip into neutral and back into heat and it changes into torth, then again and fifth.

Thought about the brake switch. Have sprayed it with wd40. The brake lights work so thought switch was ok. Can take it off and check it.

Where is the dlectricassy located ?

No fault codes showing on obd2.
Gearbox or Gearchange faults will not show up on an OBDII scan, you need a quality 'All Systems' scanner to communicate with anything other than the engine ECU. Possibly an Autel MD802 or similar.

With a good scanner look at Live Data for the Gearshift module and you should be able to 'see' all the commands as you select gears, tip higher, lower, etc. You should also be able to see the brake peal switch to confirm it is operating correctly.

Did not get far. Gearbox stuck in 3rd. Stalled out at junction.

Went under van and tapped gearbox selector/pump and clicks into neutral.

Wont engage any gears, f flashes up then clears. N flashes when trying to put in gear. Can not hear the pump running.

Awaiting recovery now.
