Tire Presure

I keep seeing 55psi front and 80psi in the back. My RS came with 80 front and back? It seems kind of a "Hard ride" in front. Bump seem to really transfer the sound into the cab. Some times it sounds like a "Bongo" drum. I've been to 3 dealers but they can't pin down where the "Bongos" are coming from. Hard tires? something loose in front end? Wish I could get in the engine compartment and have my wife drive it!

Thanks for any thoughts
George

I may try that.
I was reading the "front end thud" thread. I am going to follow that. One dealer did mention the brake calipers. Also let the tire pressure in the front go down to 55 from 80.

Thanks
George

My 2008 RS was delivered with 60 psi all around. Called the factory in Canada, and they said to go by the placard. After adjusting the front to 55 and the rear to 80, ride improved dramatically (less bounce in the rear) and mileage went up. So I say, go with 55 and 80.

We run with the recommended factory tire pressure of 55 lbs. (Front) and 80 lbs. (Rear) and it rides very smoothly!
