Adding driving lights, what and how?

Looking for advice if someone out there has a minute.

I managed to score a PIAA LP530 light kit that I intend to hood mount with the Van Compass hood mounts on my 2017 144 hi roof 4x4. I also picked up a stock MB A0085458507 dash switch with LED “on” indicator. The lights in my expensive German can are not auto on/off (really MB?) so I’m used to having to remember to turn them on and off manually and I don’t mind manually operating the aux lights.

Of course the PIAA wire harness instructions don’t match the PIAA harness that came with the kit but I it appears:

Big loop connector white wire is power
Big loop connector black wire is ground
Bullet leads are for the lights

and it’s clear we will have to extend wiring which should be NBD.

Questions

1. To what should I run the single white wire that powers the “on” LED in the switch so that it won’t freak out the canbus? I don’t have to have the switch LED lit when the aux lights are on but it sure would be helpful so I’m not fumbling around.

2. How do I adapt the PIAA 3 wire switch wiring to use the 4 pin MB dash switch instead?

Thank you in advance!
