vacuum operated control valves

do sprinters have vacuum operated control valves located in the heater hose to control the heat that heats in the van though the vents

The only door that's controlled by vacuum is the Recirculation system (that's how it can turn it off after 15 minutes)

All of the other routings (feet, face, defrost) are by push-pull cables connected to the knob on the dashboard.

The flow of hot coolant through the heater core is controlled by an electric valve... which is spring-loaded to go to FULL HEAT if the electric signal fails.

p.s. the 2006 service manual at the address in my signature block covers the vacuum actuator in section 24, page 22
