Installing Extra Lights in Tall Rear Doors?

Just wondering whether anyone had thought about installing extra lights in the tops of the tall rear doors? For example, backup lights, running lights, brake lights, etc. I'm guessing voltage could be run through one of the door contact switches.

There is already a brake light. Tail lights would be marker lights. Backup lights would just be a flood.
Here's an idea. 4" ABS pipe is the same radius as the top corner above the door. You could run all the wires out the brake light up there. Create your own light bar out of a quarter round slice of plastic pipe.

they also offer indicator lamps that fit on the roof cost £22.70 each
