2006 Dodge 3500 Sprinter, 20k mi Runs / declared as bad engine

Bought online , receiving tomorrow , been reading complete forum for a few days. I have not heard the noise in the engine . I purchased oil filter and fuel filter . The description of problem is makes engine noise once it warms up. I am open to any suggestions to what to check first. I believe the unit may have been idled alot with such low miles. It did have rear a/c that has been removed .I plan to check Harmonic balancer first.

That sounds like a good plan. I would also check the obvious like, belts, tensioners etc. these are areas that make noise after a motor warms up.(you said it sat and idled alot maybe) The games afoot so good luck and enjoy the adventure, remember patience.
