Sprint guy calls it the "WITCHES HAT" and has been the topic of considerable discussion in other threads, with some members modifying the function with a switch.
Witches hats are more applicable to the 906 models.
More like a stub like flat affair on the 903/904 T1N models akin to a witches tit!
BEWARE OF ELIMINATING IT!

Part of a bulletin by Dodge /Mopar in 2004! It warns of reduced turbo operation when the sensor is damaged, missing, or has corrupted signalling.
Remember the sensor works in concert with the ambient air pressure sensor to determine density of air!
Very important in fueling maps.
Yes! It has no effect on the operation of the vehicle's A/C system.
