MIL DTC Light Trouble Code DRB OBD List Info
There have been many questions related to Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC), but I didn't find a central location for the information. I have compiled some of the information I found on Sprinter-Source that I feel will help. I have also attached some Text Format (txt) document lists figuring that then people can access the info without needing Adobe Acrobat. I'm hoping maybe with an Ipod Touch over WIFI? I guess this belongs here in "Database". Hope this helps. vic
NOTE: Dodge and Freightliner dealers use specific scan tools for the Sprinter. An OBDII (On Board Diagnostics) scan tool may retrieve codes, but the Sprinter diesel engines are not required to be totally OBDII compliant. The Scangauge II will read more codes than some generic scan tools, but I believe it is still based upon OBDII specs.
Some information which may also help.
DRBIII, DAD and some other acronyms which may come up

Places like Auto Zone, Advance Auto often will read codes for free using an OBDII scan tool. Unless you're using a dealer type scan tool use caution interpreting the codes that are indicated as there may be errors.

Dodge dealers use a DRBIII with a special adapter cable and card to access T1N Sprinter malfunction (trouble) codes and much other information. As of this edit, Doktor A (Andy Bittenbinder) can also provide a DAD unit which accesses much more information than a OBDII scanner does. The DAD may show codes which are not found on these lists.
DRBIII scan tools are not appropriate for ChandlerAZMan's NCV3.
The appropriate tools are: StarSCAN (end of life'd), StarMOBILE (dead man walking), WiTECH (current Chrysler corporate preference), or an MB Star Diagnosis System (MB SDS). -Jon

Just so you know: The ScanGauge will report different integers for DTCs from the factory tool (Chrysler's StarMOBILE, Chrysler's WiTECH and MB's Star Diagnosis System (SDS)). So you can't go waving the numbers at any service advisor with an expectation they'll "jump to it." I'm not saying the Scanguage is useless, but the ScanGuage's ability - to come up with the same info that a factory tool will present - is limited. -Jon

Caution: There are some inconsistencies or duplicate definitions for codes in these lists so care should be taken with interpreting the information. I have tried to update those problems which have surfaced in added posts. You will find them near the end of this thread.

Here's a quick link which has a nice scroll feature. I don't know how complete or accurate the list is. It's probably worth checking before using Ctrl F to search my listings.
