My dad had two leftover gallon tubs of the older style Lizard Skin (when it was a combination of both soundproofing AND insulation) so we started using that as out first layer of insulation. The possible problem I am seeing is that because we are painting it on instead of spraying, it is very uneven and not smooth at all.
1. Should we still use a reflective layer since there are many spots we couldn't get to with the pain brush?
2. If yes to 1, will the reflective layer even stick to the bumpy surface?
