Who has a better camp site than me?

Fort Providence Territorial Park along the Mackenzie River in Northwest Territories. Lots of bugs. First real use of my Starlink Mini to watch a movie on Netflix. It has been raining almost every day since we drove north from Edmonton. Good news is no wildfires near us. Heading to Yellowknife tomorrow.

The cruelest dream, reality.
Lizard Creek Campground, Teton NP. Funny experience here. We left before 9am on checkout day. I got a rambling voicemail about noon from the camp host about an abandoned tent in my camp. Then a call from a law enforcement Ranger. Same thing. Told him it wasn’t mine, I have a van and don’t know anything about a tent. Don’t know the rest of the story. 🤷 IMG_3188.jpeg

Looks smokey like most of the Western US right now. Rafting the Salmon River through the Frank Church River of No Return is on my bucket list. 2.3 million acre Wilderness, one of the great Wilderness areas in 48 states. I just hope it has a return once you put your boat in.

I’ve never floated it, and likely won’t. But I have spent some good time in the Frank hunting and flying. Beautiful country.

Congrats on making it to Yellowknife, NWT. Did you have some lunch at Bullock's Bistro? Most excellent local fish, and we also had a box of their sauce shipped to New Mexico..

Cheers...
Yes - had dinner at Bullock’s the first day. Wasn’t impressed as their fish did not taste that fresh. There are several other better restaurants In YK. The Hidden Gem, part of the Mining Museum was the best. Agree that Bullock’s Balsamic salad dressing was great and available in the local grocery stores. The best fish I had was a shore lunch on an island in the Great Slave Lake as part of a house boat tour. It was a fun week and now on my way south back to Maryland.
