Normal or Busted ?

While searching for my Diesel WIF Drain in my 2012 3500... I spotted the connection at the rear of the passenger side of the engine (on top) Anyone recognize it and if this is it's normal configuration? thanks.

I sent the picture to my MB Shop. They didn't identify it, but said that the connection was NORMAL. Strange...It doesn't look proper..ah...dare I say..German ? Especially when everything but the connection site is dirty. I have an upcoming Service Appt... I'll discuss my concerns mit der Tech then... Hmmm

Checked with MB Folks... Not busted. Evidently it is indeed as Mother Mercedes designed it... perhaps shortly after she designed my NOx sensors ....
