Transmission lugging

Hey everyone, not sure if I posted this in the right place, but here it is. My 2011 mercedes sprinter is shifting wayy too early, in result, causing very slow acceleration. We have been able to shift in manual mode, but thats only a temporary fix. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

If you are light footed, ie a gentle accelerator driver, the Sprinter transmission was not designed, engineered for you. All will shift earlier than any other van, it was set for heavy loads being a commercial van. Maybe it can be reprogrammed with a reset of the TCM adaptations, I don't know.
Try accelerating from a stop with more fuel and you may see a longer shift range, or use the manual shifter

That actually explains it perfectly. It happens nearly all the time to my mom (light footed driver), but nearly never happens to me (leadfoot). Thank you sir.
