I have a 2023 Sprinter with a 3500 chassis, it has a
Mercedes-Benz® 2.0 Liter I4 Turbo Diesel High Output 208 HP Diesel Engine with 332 lb-ft Torque

I am looking into buying a scanner to carry with me on my trips

I have been looking a iCarsoft 3.0 scanner its about 189.00

Thoughts on this scanner

2019 OM642 RWD 144"
I posted this elsewhere... I purchased Launch X431 Ver2 specific Mercedes Sprinter for my 2019 OM642, mainly for the lifetime updates. Never found anything I couldn't get it to do: teach in new EGR, NOx sensors, actuations, etc. I needed to bleed brakes on a Prius and decided to purchase the same tool in the Toyota version. What arrived was Ver3 of that tool, and it was a total fail, two of them in fact.

I eventually purchased a Thinkscan 689 (about 2X $$) than the Launch tool, same lifetime updates, but it covers all makes and models. It worked flawlessly to bleed the Prius ABS, as well as teach in and activation of multiple modules on my Sprinter van. I would not trust the Ver3 of the Sprinter specific Launch X431 tool.
