Glow plug light won't go off and van won't start

Sure enough, fuse #6 on the PDC was blown. Ordered a replacement for that (and spares for all the other ones there to have on hand). Thanks for the tip. So at this point, would y'all advise getting that new fuse in and tightening/cleaning connections and seeing if my original glowplug-staying-on issue persists, or do you think it'd be smart to just swap in a new ECU set? I'm coming up on road trip season here and really don't want to be stranded on the road somewhere troubleshooting electrical issues...

As @ECU wrote, you don't really *need* the glow plug controller in order to run the engine.
(at least in warmish weather).

I didn't re-read the entire thread, but the constantly running fan does point to an ECU error.

With the blown midi fuse replaced, the van is now starting normally on multiple rounds. I haven't figured out the original issue obviosly so need to keep troubleshooting. I did see some info online suggesting that windshield leaks could mess with the ECU, and I have had some issues with that.

While I troubleshoot things, it would be nice to be able to drive the van without worrying about getting stranded. I'm not sure I follow what you're saying about not needing the glow plug controller... is there a hack there to get the van to start when it's doing the "glow plugs and fan staying on" routine?

Thanks!
