Headlight dip beam fault

Sorry if asked before.
I have just failed the CVRT on Headlight Dip Beam. The lights were working when I dropped the Van (LT 46 2003) but now, side lights, main beam, running lights but no dip beam either side.

There is 12v at the fuses but only really minimal voltage reading at the light connection 0.15v ?

Anyone have any idea where I might find the relay or control unit that handles the dip beam.

Thanks Tony.

This is the US/Canadian service manual, but the relays (under the seat) and headlamp wiring should be the same.
(section 8W in the manual) http://www.diysprinter.co.uk/reference/05 service manual.pdf

Thanks for that, very helpful all round. But also confused me a bit. I thought there was just 1 unit that controlled dip beam. Looking at that each light has it's own relay ? I'll have to have a good look again tomorrow. There are very few differences between the LT and Sprinter this might be one of them ? Thanks again 👍

I think it may be more of a USA to Europe difference as I don't recall seeing any relays under the seat of my UK spec T1N!

And guess by CVRT you are in Ireland?

Above Loughrea in Galway. The things an ex disability bus so the electrics are a challenge anyway. If I don't get to the bottom of it they'll be getting rewired before the retest 🙄 If I do sort it I'll let you know 👍 got a good bush mechanic with some VW history just down the road which might help, just don't like getting beaten myself.

Since you're in Europe, you might dig at 2nd hand ("previously owned") book sellers for 3rd party "fix it yourself" manuals for the Sprinter.
(i can't recall if Clinton Haynes printed one, but i know there was one (not available in the US) that provided excellent coverage.)
