I was on a trip near the grand canyon and the dreaded check engine light appeared. I had to cross the mojave desert to get home. 500 miles at the least. Decided to play it save and call MB in flagstaff. Jessie answered and said they could scan, diagnose and clear. I was skeptical as I headed to flagstaff, but he followed through. His team diagnosed, repaired two faults and had me back on the road in 3 hours.

What, pray tell, were the faults (and fixes)?

1st fault was crankcase breather circuit and the other was a nox sensor after the catalytic converter. The crankcase breather was not reinstalled properly after my last A service at MB anaheim hills and the nox sensor was replaced and reprogrammed.

Good to hear they have educated mechanic now.
They cost me quite nightmare, when my HP fuel pump failed few years back.
What MY btw? Nox sensors don't need programming, but newer models have darn SCN coding.
