It appears all of the current must travel from the terminal through the nuts+bolt and then to the bus bar. There is an ABS-looking sheet between the terminal and the bus bar. Once that plastic is heated, it'll soften, and the tension between the nuts and the terminal will be reduced. What an odd design.Ouch.
That terminal has a jam nut on it which appears to be tight -- not sure of the construction (and the "plastic" he mentions -that ought to be a metal-to-metal connection), but I wonder if the first nut wasn't torqued down properly/sufficiently to begin with....

I wish it was odd, but I have witnessed multiple examples of faulty processes in US facilities (some were intentionally fraudulent, some just ignorance) dating back to the mid 70’s. The most recent was in COVID testing where a laboratory performed the procedure incorrectly in a way that was obvious in the promotional video they distributed to local media. The error was one that would result in false positives. They picked up the contract for testing from the state of FL and the positivity rate doubled overnight.I wonder if they still design and assemble in the US. It's difficult to believe that this battery would pass a modern engineering review and QC process. Not that everything made in the US is of good quality but this design smacks of ignorance without supervision. Odd!
This one is way better for slightly more, much higher resolution, better software you can manually set the temp range.This is the reason I bought a FLIR camera ($169), but I bought it to check my connections on two LiFePO4 battery banks (van and cabin). Everything looked fine, but I can see that periodic reinspection is going to be necessary.

And? Thats the whole point of that channel.While the poor connection with buss bar is a definite issue, the ytube video smacks of a take down of Battleborn. The "tiny bolt" comment was telling.
It might be a QC issue on the assembly line or a poor design/implementation issue.
