The cruelest dream, reality.
Sorry that wasn’t directed at you even though I quoted you. It was a general comment. My bad.never said I'd want M-B messing with the Air Locker.

Seen a lot of peeps go down the river denial. You speak from experience. lol
I had a great experience with MB of Boerne. Our window regulator failed on the way across Texas on I10 with the window stuck down and 90+ degree heat. I called ahead and they said to stop by when I went past. They didn't have the part, but got the window back up and gave me the part number to order. No charge, and knowing is was unlikely that I would stop by again. I gave them all the good reviews I could, which I bet is worth something to them.I had my battery go “bad” around 11k. I took it to MB of Boenre outside of San Antonio. I was fully expecting to have to buy a battery once they seen the Victron B2B charger hooked to it. Not a word was said and they covered it under warranty. I was totally shocked.
You mean car dealerships are dishonest to their suppliers as well as their customers? I am shocked , SHOCKED I tell you. I guess there are good and bad everywhere. At least Mercedes has all the information, unlike the customers.AND THEE-----EN
You get factory zones reps (like me in another life)WITH "TED " forensic accountant doing the dealership rounds every 60 months looking for fiddle and fraud .
Having determined the "top ten fiddlers on the roof" we decend or swoop in to examine the books INCLUDING the warranty claims.
All it takes is ONE month's scrutiny by Ted and all anomolies are multplied by "60" !
To illustrate, one dealership accumulated about $250,000 of fiddle and fraud in one month!
Now mutiply by 60 months & you have the total factory debit AND THEN!
YOU SAY____"Mr Jones, General Manager , this is the debit total, when can I receive a cheque?"
Talk about wobbly knees and spluttering.
AND in part it explains why warranty claims are treated with sceptisism,

Welcome to Sprinter Source, Prince MyshkinBut I will say something about this community: it seems that no matter what I post, it will somehow elicit a snarky comment from someone. I'm resigned to that as well.

He hasn’t see the DZ threads. It’s diabolical.Welcome to Sprinter Source, Prince Myskin

It's diabolically fun.He hasn’t see the DZ threads. It’s diabolical.
I respect your willingness to fight the good fight; truly, I do. I just don't have the time / energy anymore even to consider taking on a corporation, esp. when most companies have whole buildings filled with lawyers whose sole purpose is to defend their clients against any and all claims.Sometimes you have to waste your time fighting for principles.
Now the offending dealer will not even know that they screw up.
Then MB USA is kind enough to supply us with hotline, just for such purpose.

Its human nature,You mean car dealerships are dishonest to their suppliers as well as their customers? I am shocked , SHOCKED I tell you. I guess there are good and bad everywhere. At least Mercedes has all the information, unlike the customers.

Don't want to end up like this guy:Its human nature,
Case in point ,
A famous ME Gov bus operator had received more than 5 million dollars worth of miscellaneous emergency part supply over a 9 months period from us , but maintained their innocence of have never having received any consignment whatsoever,
That was in spite of them acknowledging the waybills and signed receipts.
In the end it was written off by company senior management decree, as they (customer) had spent more than 10 million dollars annually on parts as stock orders for years!.
BUT in the end I did get back a 1.4million dollar retention bond back by due diligence on fleet warranty support, which hitherto was almost impossible to claw back.
The sad part was that I never even got thanks for that effort, not even a paltry raise!
Latterly working for an American bus maker in Hayweird, , relating this experience to my American colleagues. All were unanimous that as it was in cash I should have kept it . and skedaddled to a friendly country like THE USA!
My retort OH HOW AMERICAN!!![]()

,
So how much would you give to dealer, who takes money for troubleshooting and then charge you for replacing wrong part?3 years is not enough for such a con.
I most definitely agree with you on this one. I did a steering wheel swap on my 2020 Sprinter over the weekend. I thought I must have bumped the clock spring in the steering column because when I started it and turned the steering wheel every light on the dash came on (minus air bag light and check engine light). After trying and trying to reset it I call my local dealership to make an appointment. I was up front and honest with them on what I did. Got a call today saying I had a module fail which caused all my safety features to be inoperable. They advised me they would cover it under warranty.Based upon other posts on Facebook by the same guy, my take is that one particular dealership is giving him a hard time, not MB corporate.
Not even Mother Benz can make the Magneson Moss Consumer Protection Act disappear.
Please provide us details on what module. I’m assuming it’s the EIS module…?I most definitely agree with you on this one. I did a steering wheel swap on my 2020 Sprinter over the weekend. I am not exactly sure what module it is. It should be finished today (5-29-25) and I will let you know but I am 100% sure it’s not the EIS module as this failure will have required a tow to the dealership. Please provide us details on what module. I’m assuming it’s the EIS module…?
