You can stack VHB, if the thickness isn't a problem. But if it's already degraded, dunno how well it'll hold.

Great guidance.
They truly are NOT all the same. Have seen variability.
Surface prep is only the first step.
I don't recall where I read/watched the following information but it hasn't steered me wrong. These are THE steps to follow..
1) Ensure you have authentic 3M product for the right surface and environment.
2) Remove ALL dust and grease from all surfaces using alcohol and let dry thoroughly.
3) Remove ALL dust and grease from your finger tips using alcohol to address accidental touches on prepped surfaces.
4) Ensure ambient temps are at least 70f...warmer is better.
5) Apply only once...do not remove and re-adjust.
6) Apply consistent pressure for at least 30 seconds. My personal recommendation is using weights or clamps, 30 minutes.
Completing the above has led to no issues for me.
Finally, 3M tape works best when the forces are not shear-type. You can remove authentic 3M product using dental floss and heat pretty easily.

I have some of their stuff, packaging was pretty terrible but they made it right and it dropped my cost down quite a bit. I did find that my steps had a bit of a tweak in the metal flange and they kinda gave me a shrug on that. I figured after all the issues I had to deal with they would have just comped the steps. I got everything installed, it's pretty solid but I used different hardware for my steps and for my roof rack I have the safari style.
I went with them because I know too many people who drop 10k on a whole kit on the outside of the van for the powder coat to just peel right off, it all gets beat up by trees and rocks on the road. I invested a lot of the interior of our van, the outside parts they can be repainted.

I ordered a set of cab insulating window covers (Sprinter 3 Piece Window Cover Kit) and a sliding door bug screen from Vanncamp.
The insulating pieces are nicely made, and have good magnets. I think they will be a significant improvement in winter as they are definitely thicker than the quest overland covers I’ve been using- whose magnets became noticeably weak about 2.5 years ago (5.5yr old now).
Packaging was fine and arrived 3 days from order.
I haven’t pulled out the bug screen yet I’ll probably try to get to that this weekend.
All the items came in nice storage bags made of the same material as the covers.
VannCamp seems to be a good company.
I plan to order their rear hitch step when it is in stock and have my eye on a couple other items also.

Good to hear. Sounds like people have good experiences with them. Now looking at the roof rack, it does seem a little shorter than others.
I have their wider dash shelf, and there was no way that the single small strip of the factory applied adhesive tape was going to hold properly.
The van's dash has a very shallow V between the two sections. Considering summer, winter, driving with things hanging off of it ... and the minimal contact area that I observed and documented; it was never going to work.
I tried to communicate with WTA, including pictures ( close up side view showing all the air space and minimal contact ) asking them about this; and they basically 100% brushed off my concern, that they had x number of satisfied customers, reviews, etc. never an issue or concern raised.
I thought it was pretty arrogant for them to brush it off. They could have said, hey you're right, we will look at this more closely, let us send you a few strips of adhesive. Which would have been a proper manufacturer / seller response with good customer service.
So, I purchased two different widths of 3M brand tape at the store; and then layered several extra strips to closely match the shallow v profile of the van dash. Knock on wood this will hold forever.
I also have their swivel table on hand, but it is not installed yet. Hopefully this spring/summer.

I was not aware of this thread until today. Pretty stunning to read all this stuff. Based on their actions ... I will leave them alone going forward; like most people here. .

If something is objectively not fitting or installing right as per the instructions ... at a minimum listen to the customer. Even if you're a seller on the " value end " of the market. And the item was purchased based on differences between it and some of the competitors in terms of extra versatility and no drill / mod installation.

When you buy cheap, one of the things you get is a customer service department that is at best apocryphal. Customer service costs money.

I think it's great that owner came in to defend his honor, something that apparently White Top has not chosen to do.
In general this site has always been supportive of vendors participating here when they're mentioned, even when threads go a bit off-topic as they often do. It's a feature, not a bug.

I haven't bought from you, and I wasn't commenting about you specifically. I was talking about both WTA, and businesses in general. It is costing you time to be posting here, and time is money. Paying attention to whats on the winds of forums dedicated to the product you are specialising in servicing is an example of proactive customer service.
I was just talking about people who are buying from some given company because the price is cheap, vs. some of the vendors that charge more, but have a reputation of being hands on.
