I have a 2007 passenger van with one of the leaky ac units. I went to chrysler and they said they had no idea there was a problem with the units, basically no help at all. I bought it used only power train warranty left. I took the unit apart inside and out. Took the old thin poorly installed gasket off, cleaned the roof. Then installed some butyl tape used for sunroof installation. I put two stripes one on top of each other all the way around the opening and one double strip along the front edge under the unit. Bolted it back together, total time about 2hours. Drove home in pouring rain, poured rain all night long. In the morning when I left for work the inside of the van was dry, when I made that first right turn to my joy there was no waterfall from the roof vent. Three weeks and four rain storms and still no leak. Cost of the tape $15.
