Mercedes Benz.
Sprinters did not get the option, but sedans from early 2000's had fluid level sensor in form of electrodes, sensing the fluid resistance.
Standard fluid did not pass and with fluid at 100% you had warning light.

I don't recall windshield fluid heater on Sprinter, but on my sedan, the winter fluid evaporated in matter of days.
I concluded, that it has alcohol, or other stuff, that easy evaporate with heat.
So for next skiing trip I would have winter fluid in the trunk and add it only when needed.
Check your system as some vehicles have even electric heaters on fluid tubings.

Winter windshield fluid has a higher percentage of isopropyl alcohol in it so it doesn't freeze to the windshield when you are driving at speed in subzero temperatures.

This is funny but reminds me of a conversation at the Jag in Coventry UK.
Attending a tech course on the XJ 40 many moon ago I get called out to the warranty techy dept.
There I am presented with windscreen washer tanks--Some split some black and curled up like burnt offerings!
The question ?
"You have your feet on both sides of the pond how come these stupid Yanks have so many problems with these tanks"?

.Looking at them I said "Well these have broken open by freezing. Obviously had plain water in them and frozen."?
Well that's why we site the tank near the exhaust manifold to prevent that?
Me! Asks Well what do you fill it with on the line?
"Water like everyone else".

Well it gets frigging cold in the USA , colder than brass monkey weather , why do put windshield washer fluid in it , like they do on truck production lines then it wont freeze and burst!

Well I suppose Americans are filling the tank with washer fluid and being flammable And BEING close to the exhaust manifold, the tank is melting AND and the whole lot is catching fire?!!!
DUH

Move the tank location would be my suggestion!

British cars, in my opinion, are brilliant engineering combined with cost cutting in the wrong places, and a healthy dose of I don’t give a fuck.

The Rover 800 is a perfect example. Wonderful car, terrible execution until it has such a bad reputation nobody wants to buy it, terrible customer service, and then the morons managing the company fix it.
