MB Airstream Interstate awning self-deployed

PSA, while driving on FL Turnpike my awning self-deployed at 70 mph. No longer have an awning, tore clean off the bracket.
I have a 2014 MB Airstream Interstate, awning was a Fiamma F65-Eagle. I assumed there would be some type of lock out while engine is running...?
Awning did have wind sensor, not sure if this may have malfunctioned?? Has anyone out there experienced anything like this? Would think this should be a recall worthy, not sure who to advise.
Safe travels, Thanks!

I had put the F65 Eagle on my conversion and wired it through a separate breaker. I leave the breaker off while traveling, and, if needed, to defeat the wind activated auto retract feature if deployed at a campsite. Sometimes this is handy, particularly if I have the awning only out a few feet or so, where I know the wind won't damage the awning, but nuisance trips of the auto retract become an issue. I do have the sensitivity set to 9 ( I believe), but it still auto retracts earlier than it should.

I totally agree on the auto retract. It is very frustrating at times. I have been known to turn off the breaker for the same reason.
