Hi all,

Just bought 2010 Freightliner Sprinter 3500 Forest River w/ 9,000 miles. Has the Onan QD3200 Genset, with only 10 hrs run time. We cannot get the generator to start. Remote panel comes on, goes thru self test, shows ready to start, I press start button, and the starter spins, but gen will never fire off. I show NO codes on the panel at all. I checked the ON/OFF Red Button behind the Onan panel cover, and confirmed it is on. Can hear and feel the fuel pump running and pulsing on the line, and can tell it is pressurized. Main fuel tank has 3/4 tank of diesel. Some guidance on getting this thing started would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance,

Marty

Check the spark plugs and did you do an oil change? (too much oil?) and check the exhaust to see if there is any blockage.
on mine to prime you push the button down until a light comes on (on the button) then push the top of the button to start.

If you have too little oil it won't start. It has a low oil safety switch. If the van isn't level, you could also see low oil level.

Hold the Stop button for several seconds to prime. Replace the fuel filter.
Yes do this, but what this really does is run the grid heater in the intake, like a glow plug, but external to the cylinder. The instructions tell you to press and release the red button and then wait for the Gen off to appear. But I would hold it until the QD -3200 shows. Then hit and hold the green start button. If no start after three long cranks, do the red button again.
