BCM issue - LH Rear Turn Signal not working......Wire is dead at lamp!

Hello all,

My first post, but I need some guidance. Just bought a 2010 Freightliner Sprinter Forest River Solea, with 9,000 miles. Discovered that I have no turn signal on LH rear. Front works fine, Inside works fine, no fast flashing on the dash. I pulled the LED rear lamp, to check connections, and found the circuit wire dead. I read that everything is controlled thru a BCM in the LH drivers footwell.

Does anyone have a print on the circuit for this LH Turn Signal and BCM?

Thanks in advance!

If you have Trailer Tow electronics, the module for that could be messing things up.

The NCV3 has (too) smart electronics driving the tail light circuits ... if it thinks there's a short-circuit, it will *not* feed power to that socket.
(it may also not-feed what it considers an empty socket (such as an LED), but i think it just reverts to fast-blink in that case)

2007 service documentation, with *two* renditions of the wiring (one MB, the other 3rd party)
This package still applies 99.5% to the 2010 model year.

(As for the service manual: it is probably describing the wrong engine. But the body and brakes should be correct.)

It's unlikely a problem in the BCM. Forest River RVs have a LED driver board hidden in the back. Mine was mounted behind a panel above the wet bay. It failed after prolonged dampness in the PNW, and when I pulled it out, it had a chalky haze on the circuit board.

Cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol fixed the board, but my Bargman LED taillights still had some LED clusters out. I removed the taillamps and found them to be potted in resin, so they were unservicable and got replaced.
