Looking for assistance/preferences on building a T1N dashboard

Hot air soldering works well. The board passed the "smoke" test. The buzzer didn't blow a hole. There's a clearance issue with the processor board sitting above. Some material needs to be removed from the buzzer. Buzzer sound doesn't appear to be affected by the hole.

You're in luck. I'm in the process of building 10 units. Most are spoken for, just a few left. Still need to assemble the fan tach. I should be able to send some off in a few weeks.

One unit left!

There are a few people who didn't order the tach. I should be able to build a few tach's if you change your mind.

I opened up the box, and was completely surprised about the packaging he chose for my two units.

Hope you weren't disappointed when not seeing Dom Perignon in the box. Actually, C-Dash is way better than Champagne.

A few people reported occasional buzzer from the oil sump level. The buzzer will sound if the sump level reaches 70 mm or drops down to 15 mm. The graph shows a few instances of 20 mm spiles. The spikes are associated gear changing and large rpm swings. I'm going to modify the code so that the buzzer will only sound when three consecutive reading are out of bounds. Incidentally, with just ignition on, oil level is 52 mm. Once engine starts oil level drops to about 48 mm.

I can provide code to anybody that wants to flash their unit to the latest updates. Are there requests for other mods?

Edit: The sump reading is changed to a running average of 5 measurements. That will eliminate any spikes.

Manny,

Sorry to butt in here but @calbiker units ONLY work with the USA spec OM647 engine.

They DO NOT work with the European OM611 or OM612 engines as they use a different ECU and protocol.

*put some offensive curse words here*

Hey Keith, thx for clarifying. darn Merc....

I'm really grateful you safed me that unpleasant discovery....

I have been eyeing a 647 swap though, i like the better heat management in the 1600bar heads, anyway that's off topic here. And just today I replaced my 612 in my class A Hymer RV, due to a dead cylinder, so it's not going to be anytime soon.

So @calbiker, sorry to bother you, disregard my request from above. But thanks anyway for developing such an awesome gadget!

@mannebk If you want a reasonable way to monitor four PID's at the same time, eg RPM, Water temp, battery voltage, LOD, MAP, etc try finding a ScanGauge II.

I know them, but Ive got an UltraGauge for my National Dolphin Chevy P30 Class A in Canada.

They actually can display up to 8 PIDs per screen.... it got really handy diagnosing my 4L80E transmission in that RV. Unfortunately i was not able to get it to show transmission data from that 1994 ECU.

Didnt know the ScanGauge would work on our Mercs .... I'll order a one right away. Appreciated.
