Hi from the KC area. I recently started to convert my 2006, 158 T1N plumbers van I bought a couple years ago. It runs great but it is rough otherwise.
I just finished cleaning the inside to remove 2 decades of grime. Next I will be starting to cut out and repair all the rust on the outside.

Howdy, posting to get access to the search function. I just bought a 2019 Mercedes sprinter 170 WB High roof with 82k miles. Used Amazon van. I have 40 days to get it to a liveable state for a 2-3 weeks trip I want to make so I've been in a frenzy ordering stuff. Pretty sure I can make it, it doesnt have to be polished just functional. I'm aiming for pretty high comfort levels, 37 gallons of fresh water capacity, hot water heater and wetbath with flushing toilet and shower, maybe even a bidet, tons of solar and power capacity so I can work out of the van, and then also game or watch a movie after work, and be able to run AC as often as I'd like. I'm aiming for at least 4-5 days without needing to worry about water or power, no propane appliances on board.
Ambitious goal but I think possible, and the fact that it doesnt have to been finished means I can take it out and use the initial learnings to come back and change things up before putting final polish on it. I've already been using this forum for a lot of good feedback and tips.
