Der Unverbesserliche.
Looking good!! We have Borzoi (5 at the moment) and about 10 or 12 years ago one had her stomach turn. Vet saved her and pinned her stomach (gastropexy). Since then, when we spay, we always have a gastropexy performed although we don't spay until they are three to five years old. Gives hormones a chance to do their thing, but we don't wait more than 5-6 years since that increases the chances of mammary cancer in females. BTW, we only have females, but not to breed. Male Borzoi are just too big and hairy!

Two of ours are puppies (11 and 14 months old) and we will start coursing them next spring. Probably run FastCat first and see what they think of chasing a plastic bag.
If I was going to get a dog, I'd prefer a larger one, not a little one.

I just spent two (plus) days at the Wild and Free film festival in Goleta, CA and used the Sprinter RV as a dog kennel while I was in the theater.

The dogs were comfortable and had food and water and got walks when it wasn't raining, but judging by their high energy level when we got home, they didn't have much play time.

Damage report. One electric blanket cord is now chewed into two pieces. Fortunately, it was not plugged in.

A rubberized outdoor mat now has a hole chewed in it and there are little rubber pieces all over the floor. It wasn't the first time it became a chew toy.

No other surprises on the floor, so they seemed to get enough potty breaks.

The film festival was awesome. Checkpoint Zoo was the opening night film about a wild animal park in Ukraine, only 37 km from the Russian border, that got evacuated while bombs were falling.

4700 animals were rescued, many in battle-ravaged Sprinter vans. Not all of the animals made it and they lost some members of their staff. It is now one of the most impactful documentaries I've seen.

All I can add is, Dog is Love. Personified.

They ask so little and deserve so much more than we can ever repay them. Endless love.

Unconditional love is such a rare thing. The dogs in my life's experiences has reenforced that supposition.

Selflessness is inbred in our four legged friends. We humans could use a bit more of that sentiment.

RKC, If those stairs were slightly centered, both dogs could make use of both of the two kennels.

Your dogs are lucky to have you. Your are fortunate to have them.
