Autel MD806 Pro - finds VIN but fails to get model designation

Connected the brand new MD806 Pro to my ODB2 connector, turned ignition key to on positions (stereo comes on, Sprinter systems go through their start up) and clicked Auto Scan. The device can successfully find my VIN, and it is correct, but then it says it doesn't find the model designation. I try to select that manually and do see most Mercedes Benz models in the resulting list but Sprinter is not included in the list.

I've searched around and haven't had any luck finding a resolution.

Hi look for BENZ SPRINTER or similar, rather than the MB model section.

If i recall correctly, the Autel recommendations by forum members are the 802 or the 808 ... they seem to skip the 806.
It may not know Sprinters.

Not the case, the 806 is a newer version and supposedly supports everything the 808 did plus new features

According to the Autel 'Vehicle coverage' page https://autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage1 the MD806 Pro does cover NCV3 Sprinters from 2006 on as well as T1N's from 2000 to 2006.

If it is the same as my MD802 All Systems you will need to select 'Euro' then 'SPRINTER' and then '906' to get to the correct pages for your 2016 NCV3.
