That looks like $40,000 Sprinter with $150,000 suspension conversion.
I can only wonder how much they spend on interior conversion?
I have the swing door in my conversion and love it, so happy to see they become popular.

Looks very much like Iceland to me ❓ ❓ ❓
Very good..... these guys came off the road between Langjokull and Hofsjokull. A little spring off-road camping. Diesel cost is not a problem here.9DBC4D8B-E687-4EC0-AB3C-7E4D8C614B51.jpeg

Would that be near Gulfoss then? That was as far as we got in our 2WD T1N when we were there. And looks like a similar truck in the background but the one we saw was ten wheel drive!IMG_2187.JPG

Yes...... we went further up 35 until we hit a bit of snow on the closed highway. There’s a sign at Gullfos stating there will be significant costs to retrieve you if you break down.F7660A61-BA2B-4267-8F23-54714BC61EC4.jpeg

been there, seen them…. in Iceland they are tight on driving F roads..
as cool as these hand built conversions are, I’d still rather have my 4x4 Sprinter…
Minke Whale kabobs in some grocery stores there !!

Top speed must be limited to 50mph, or close to it. Great for Iceland, not so much for most of the world, me thinks. Looks aren't everything. haha

$10/gallon. Major ouch at whatever measley mpg they get. 5? maybe.

Old words of wisdom come flooding back, If you have to ask, it is out of your price range.

That being said, if I was ever there, and I will be someday, I would love to get a ride in one of those tundra conquering beasts.

I wonder how our available Sprinter engines could handle such excessive demands? Same goes for the transmissions.

I still can't wait to ride in one when I make it to Iceland for comparisons sake. Just climbing in would be a problem for this old man. haha.

Are they excessive? My understanding is that those vans drive slower, than what we do on freeways in USA.
Air drag is main resistance and comes with square of speed.
Meaning @ 70 mph it is 1.6 times bigger than @ 55mph.
Than diesels love to run at full load.
