Most of the time on Sprinters regeneration is mileage-triggered.
In highway driving DPF rarely comes to 100% load, what would trigger regeneration sooner.
In cases when other factors will hold regeneration DPF load can go as high as 200% before discotheque lights on dashboard.
I always advise to have DPF monitoring system, especially for city driving and I understand that new vans do have it from factory.
