Intercooler Hose

Got this part from my local shop, it’s the hose that connects the intercooler to the turbo resonator. The part seems bigger than the OEM piece I took out and this looks wrong to me and is all “kinked”… is this fine? Any suggestions?

To me it looks like it can be pushed on a little further, on the one end, and then of course ensure the other end is fully pushed on and also that the hose it turned properly so It may need to be rotated a bit too. if You’re in doubt and still have the old one, take the new one off and compare the shape and length. If it’s too long, just cut maybe a 1/4 inch off one end to start.

The OM612 (1999-2003) and OM647 (2004-2006) are different lengths, since the older OM612 didn't have a plastic resonator.
It's also Possible MB updated your part to avoid some stress areas.
Supplying your VIN to an MB parts counter would reveal if there's been a part number change since when it was originally built.

Looks a decent bit longer…. will have to decide if it’s worth going back to the shop or just cutting it down
