When can I order a 2022?

My local dealers (San Diego and Riverside Counties, CA) tell me about 4-6 weeks.

If you want 4x4 best to get on the waitlist. A couple dealers have told me their lists are quite long already, 60+. If allocation for 4x4 is 6/month (for example) that's a long wait. 4x2 are MUCH easier to get built of course.

They opened last week and all were taken in the first 15 mins. (sarcasm). I don't think anything has changed in the past week, still 3-5 weeks is the estimate.

Any indication of when 2022 allocations are being released to dealers?
I'm sitting down with a dealer tomorrow to enter the order. We'll see if it really occurs though. The salesmen isn't the most straight talking person I've met in my life.

Another dealer just returned my call. Premium Plus, 360 cam, et al is restricted. Can’t be ordered yet and perhaps not for months.

I went through the build sheet about two weeks ago with a dealer for a 2022 van. On Thursday they said it was "approved", had me sign a purchase order, and now it's waiting on a production schedule. This is my first mb van so I don't know exactly what any of that means yet.

I just finished up with Jack Williams in Escondido, CA. He's got 24 more allocations available. Fingers crossed the factory approves the order this coming week.

I'm still expecting something to be declined based on all the comments here.
Maybe others know if once 'approved' means they have committed to the parts to complete it or not. I would hope so but there has to be some level of flexibility to 'take' parts destined for one vehicle to satisfy another. It's not what you know but who you know that matters.
