When does this happen? If it does, it shouldn't and I need to know.PS the forum goes off line at times for a tad up to an hour
Dangerous to whom! When does this happen? If it does, it shouldn't and I need to know.
The forum may be slow a bit everyday at 1:10am PST due to a database backup that should run no more than 10 minutes. Also, it can be dangerous posting at this time as it can get lost during the backup process.
What system are you using; e.g. Apple or Windows?HI everyone, I've just been on to my service provider and he guided me thru a trace to try to find the problem and the trace timedout on the last stage before the sprintersource site and he sugested the problem may be due to changes to sprinter fire wall. i'm way out of my depth here .i have tried to access directly from the address bar ,my bookmark, and from googleand it times out, its been doing this since at least last thursday, help. ben
In addition, does your internet provider have a ban list to sprinter-source.com's IP address (66.220.15.121). The ban list could be happening on the server side too, so it will help what IP address you are using at the time of the hang up.C:\Users\seek>tracert 66.220.15.121

Ben,HI seek, some info for you , iam using windows xp pro'
i am located halfway between sydney and brisbane,500ks to each
my service provider is skymesh in brisbane and is via satellite (ipstar)
i was unable to attach trace but you can access the trace on;-

hope this helps. ben
Seek that's not on Honest you have had issues since the inception of the forum, changed servers etc what your asking Ben to run will give you a false ping route. Its not Brisbane.Ben,
Can you click on this link...
http://geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm
...and tell me what IP address that is listed in the box next to "IP Address to Locate." It's kind of in the middle of the page next to the Submit button. You don't need to hit the submit button as the website detects your IP address and prints it in the box.
I need this IP address as the Sprinter-Source.com host wants to do a trace back to your ISP IP to see where the hang up is.
Also, instead of the command tracert, can you type the command...
pathping 66.220.15.121
...and wait until the "Trace complete" appears. This will take awhile longer than tracert. Also can you expand the command window before you do a screen print as the previous file you provided was hard to read. Thanks Ben.
Richard (Altered Sprinter), if you can do the same it will help me find the problem. Otherwise, you can just continue to live with it and blame the USA host when it's your ISP's problem.
Do you even know what I'm asking Ben to do?Seek that's not on Honest you have had issues since the inception of the forum, changed servers etc what your asking Ben to run will give you a false ping route. Its not Brisbane.
