Sprinter 4x4 Wheels

Going off subject but...

You might want to think about a closed winching system, it's nice winching my mount against the fairlead... nothing dangling, just attach a shackle and strap as needed..

My Warn fairlead started pitting after 2 Ak Winters, have changed it now, I also use synthetic rope....

Love the plate!

Hi guys. Reaching out for some fitment advice before buy a new set of wheels and tires. I have a beautiful 2018 4x4 that is 100% stock. I've read and searched but did not find the answer I'm looking for so here goes.

About to order:

Wheels: BLACK RHINO YORK 18x8.0 6/130 ET52 CB84.1 MATTE BLACK

with

Continental Terrain Contact A/T
Tire Size: LT275/65R18
Manufacturer Part #: 15506700000
Approved Rim Width 7.5 - 9 PlyRating E / 10
Load/Speed Rating 123/120S Max. Tire Pressure 80
Run Flat No Max. Load 3415@80
Tread Depth 16
Overall Tire Diameter 32.1 Rim Diameter 18

Check the look here> https://www.kctrends.com/gallery/27634/mercedes-benz-sprinter-2500-york

Note that the tires in the pictures are 265s. I'd like to go with 275s. I've looked at the tire size comparison tools and the 275/65R18 is very close to the 275/70R17 which alot of guys seem to be running without problem.

Will I have any rubbing or problems going with the 18' Yorks and the 275/65R18 Continentals?

Thanks for any words of wisdom.
Just an update. Hope this helps someone. I went with the Black Rhino Yorks and Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT 275/70R17. No problem with rubs or anything else until it came time to installing the spare. I had to get the Agile Offroad spare kit for $20. I did not have to stretch the cage. Even with the kit it was super tight but I did get the spare in the cage with zero room left.

Working with fuel to bring to market via me, 16x8 +25 for sprinters. These are the first 20, custom drilled, machined and super sexy

Well fack......

So a 305/70r16 will mount now without spacers....as will a 315/70r16 provided you have the clearance...

Can you PM me a price on a set of 4?

Any reason you didnt stick to a 35 or 40 offset to mitigate rub at full lock? Seems like slicing 15mm off the 55mm offset of the 7.5" wheels out there would have given you a little more space than agiles spacers and kept things a little closer in.

Now we need to see if the slider door can be spaced out so it does not rub the tire on the 11" plus wide tires.

it does in fact rub the slider a bit on the 19s. we will test on the 18s.

Worth it tho. We will include an aluminum rub plate for someone that cares.

We did a run of 20, they are all gone. Currently trying to get them to do it in a +35 or 30, but i like the 25 personally.

honestly. Looks way better at a 25. and limitations with castings and clearances on existing wheels
The goal is to keep a sub 300.00 wheel for economics. If i go doing custom molds, and stuff like that, I can't hit that target. Im over the ****ty 16"wheel sizes, hence doing this

of note...does not rub the slider door on the NCV3 but does on the VS30...hmmm
If I am following this correctly, you’re saying a 25mm offset wheel with 275/70 tires is rubbing the slider on a 2019? Do you think a 38mm offset will rub on the door? I have some on order..

Thanks!

nah that high of an offset isnt aggressive .

Can I purchase a set of the wheels for my stock 2018 4x4?
Feel free to pm me about them.
Let me know what sizes are available and would work on a stock 4x4.

Thanks

GMAN_867, did you have to get the Agile “No-Rub” Front Tire Fender to clear those 275/70R17's, or did it work fine with stock parts? I'm currently researching what people are managing without going aftermarket on anything but wheels & tires. Thanks!

EVO Coarse 17’s with 265/70/17 KO2’s. No issues, no rubbing all good. Took me three months to get the wheels but happy as heck with them. Running Fox shocks with external reservoirs.

It appears GMAN_867 went 275/70R17 and was ok, and your setup is slightly even more aggressive than that. Has anyone had experience with airing down 265/75/16's on the stock rims? We spend a lot of time in the desert and Baja where we air down frequently. I'm currently running the stock tire size but would like to go a little bigger. I'm concerned that the 6.5 width of the stock rims will make it easier to blow a bead.

a 265/75 shouldn't be on a 6.5" rim at all, at least according to BF Goodrich guidelines for AT/KO2s. 7" minimum, and that's at recommended pressures. curious if you're airing down for traction or comfort? lower pressures are more likely to puncture. when my pops used to do off-road racing, BFG always wanted them to run at fairly high pressures to avoid flats that would make the brand look bad.

Yeah, have aired 265’s down to around 30 psi on stock rims with no issues in Moab. At the speeds where you’re like to loose a bead you’re likely to break all kinds of things. Take it easy and enjoy the traction.

Very clean look. Speaking of which...

What nerf/side steps are you running as well as the ladder?

Thanks!
