Found a shop in Grand Junction (western slope) who services Sprinters.
Anybody out there have any experience with this shop?

Overall good for "basic" stuff.
The last time we spoke they were short of the more specialist scan tools for re-gens etc on Sprinters.
Several contributors to these forums have had their vans in there for work,
I have recommended several callers on the western slope to call these guys to see if they could handle the problems they were facing.
Some have called back complaining of it being a no dealer like shop with all the concierge services etc etc. Others have been happy for some assistance, but like most they are stuck for on time parts deliveries leading to long down times. Like the rest of us! "Wots new"!

Thanks Dennis!
I had my van towed there for some valve body rplc, etc.
Couldn't quite swing getting towed to you. (first choice!)
I'll report back how it goes...

Yes keep me posted.
I am always interested in how other shops who do similar things to me turn out.
Some good guys are out there and for you its long way into Golden.
Makes sense to find some reliable service nearby.

All I have to do is find someone in Wyoming.
No dealers & service in Wyoming for sure, and of course its Chevy /Ford country.

The last time I was up in Sheridan I went into the Toyota dealer for some antifreeze mix.
I was at first given regular Toyota HOAT mix but then I corrected them saying NO, this is for a Prius Hybrid must be long life!
Oh you must be up from Denver--Prius' are rare birds in these parts of the world.
Yes like Sprinters--No hope!
Cheers Dennis

I must say, Craig and his gang at Mac Daddy had the MB diagnostic software to find a speed sensor fault and replace the conductor plate in just a few days! I towed it in on a Tuesday and it was finished on Friday.
Craig did a great job keeping me informed on what they found and the progress of the repair. Price was in line with what I see here on the forum. They were recommended to me by a friend with newer sprinter and there were several sprinters in the yard there. Overall a good experience and I'm psyched to find sprinter repair on the Western Slope! Thanks Craig!

I just contacted this shop this morning regarding my 02 sprinter that keeps shutting down at about 40 mph, fuel delivery related, maybe an injector or clogged fuel line. Might also be looking to sell it if I don't figure this out soon, and it's got a whole bunch of new parts in it, new tires, and a recently rebuilt gearbox that still seems perfect. Entertaining offers.

Hopefully they are still doing good work on Sprinters. I'm in Jackson Hole right now and experiencing rough start in the morning with strong diesel smell and little bit of white smoke until it warms up. After that van runs great until next morning start... Heading toward GJ later today...
